EMN8, which stands for enterprise media networks and is a US-based company selling technology to fast-food restaurants, has raised two-thirds of its planned round from a consortium of four investors.
In a regulatory filing first seen by data provider CB Insights, EMN8, formerly known as Vast InterActive, said it had raised £12.2m out of a planned $18.2m round and also has Spencer Tall from venture capital firm Allegis Capital as a director.
However, Steamboat Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of media group Walt Disney, is no longer mentioned as an investor on EMN8’s website, according to news provider SocalTech, although venture capital firms Fort Washington Capital, GRP Partners and Sid R. Bass Associates are listed as its backers.
Walt Disney had used EMN8’s software at its theme park tills.
