Introhive, a US-based customer relationship management technology developer backed by cloud computing company Salesforce.com, closed a $7.2m series B round yesterday.
The round, originally reported by Entrevestor on Friday, includes an earlier $6.7m raised from a total of 31 backers, including GrowthWorks Atlantic Venture Fund, Fortify Ventures, CIT GAP, and Build Ventures. Tech Equity Partners reportedly also contributed to the round.
According to Entrevestor, the round included an equity conversion of an unddisclosed amount of debt financing provided by Salesforce in 2013, meaning the amount of new capital in the round is lower than $7.2m.
Established in 2012, Introhive’s software monitors corporate emails and automates customer relationship management by syncing contacts and activity. The platform then maps relationships, enabling salespeople to make warmer introductions.
Introhive intends to use the funding to increase its partnerships and expand its direct sales team.
GrowthWorks, New Brunswick Innovation Foundation and a range of angel investors provided $1.8m in series A funding for the company in 2012, after CIT GAP and Fortify had supplied an undisclosed amount of seed capital earlier in the year.
