Iris Capital, a France-based venture capital firm that counts telecommunications group Orange and public relations firm Publicis as strategic partners, has hired Stéphane Pesqué and promoted Julien-David Nitlech to partner.
Pesqué joined Iris as a partner in charge of early-stage investments in France. He had been managing director of CM-CIC Capital Privé, a private equity subsidiary of France-based retail bank CM-CIC, for more than 13 years, and had been leading its VC team and activities since 2010.
Nitlech joined Iris Capital in 2013 and has focused on early-stage investments in France and Europe, with expertise in cloud computing, big data, software and mobile. He is on the boards of Agorize, Mailjet, Shift Technology and V3D.
Prior to joining Iris Capital, Nitlech founded Apperian, a US startup that produces and markets a cloud-based mobile application management platform. He started his career in business development for Orange.
