Bona Xundong Software, the China-based operator of cloud services provider BoCloud, has closed almost RMB100m ($15.2m) in series B-plus funding from subsidiaries of e-commerce firm JD.com, Marbridge Consulting has reported.
Founded in 2012, BoCloud uses open source technologies to automate work for clients in government as well as the financial services and power industries. It has not publicly disclosed any earlier funding.
JD.com invested through JCloud, its cloud services arm, and financial services and investment subsidiary JD Finance.
JCloud will be able to appoint a representative to BoCloud’s board of directors and will partner it to help customers in the financial sector digitise their operations.
