Jitterbit absorbs $25m

Jitterbit, a US-based cloud integration platform developer backed by design software producer Autodesk and enterprise software provider Salesforce.com, raised $25m on Tuesday in a series C round led by investment firm KKR.

The round was oversubscribed and limited to Jitterbit’s existing investors, but details of other participants were not disclosed. KKR invested through its Next Generation Technology Fund.

Founded in 2015, Jitterbit offers an integration platform that helps businesses integrate cloud-based applications with legacy IT systems. The funding will be used to strengthen the company’s international presence and to expand its sales and services teams.

Jitterbit previously raised $20m in a January 2016 series B round backed by KKR, having secured an undisclosed amount in a 2012 series A round featuring Salesforce, Autodesk and venture capital firm Primera Capital.

George Gallegos, CEO of Jitterbit, said: “The market is growing faster than anticipated, so we chose to raise additional capital to take full advantage of this increased demand.

“The early bets we placed on the convergence of the [application programming interface] and hybrid cloud integration space have propelled Jitterbit into a leading position in the industry without relying on excessive amounts of capital, which is a central aspect of our approach to financing.”
