JJDC’s Davis joins Innosight

Roy Davis, former head of US-based medical device maker Johnson & Johnson’s (J&J) corporate venturing unit, will become a director at consultants Innosight from next month.

Davis retired from Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation at the end of December after nearly four years as its president and having joined the company in 1984. Davis was responsible for acquisition and licensing in areas outside J&J’s business sectors, venture capital investing on behalf of J&J, and management of J&J’s wholly owned ventures.

Davis also serves as a member of the industrial advisory board of US-based medical group Cleveland Clinic.

Richard Foster, Innosight’s lead director, said: "As a proven leader with extensive strategic and management experience at one of the world’s most-admired companies, he [Davis] will be a tremendous asset as we work to shape the course of Innosight’s long-term growth. His global perspective and ventures expertise will be invaluable."

Innosight is an innovation and strategy consulting firm with offices in the US, Singapore and India and was set up by Harvard Business School professor Clayton Christensen.
