JLL Spark, the corporate venturing arm of real estate developer and property manager JLL, has chosen investment firm Concrete VC as an adviser for its Global Venture Fund.
The corporate launched the fund in June 2018 to invest up to $100m in startups developing products and services focused on real estate development, management, leasing and the improvement of tenant experiences.
As the sole adviser situated in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, UK-based Concrete VC will help JLL identify startups by leveraging its corporate partnerships.
Concrete co-invested with JLL Spark Global Venture Fund in a $5.1m series A round for Hubble, the UK-based operator of an online office leasing platform, in January this year.
Mihir Shah, co-chief executive of JLL Spark, said: “We are looking forward to increasing our investment in Europe and connecting those startups with the customers and resources they need to grow and scale in commercial real estate.”
