UK-based retailer John Lewis Partnership has opened the call for applications to the fourth year of its global startup accelerator initiative.
JLab, which is run in association with advisers L Marks, involves Waitrose, the supermarket that forms part of the John Lewis group, joining the retail technology accelerator.
Five to 10 successful applicants will work across both the John Lewis and Waitrose businesses in the 2017 iteration of the scheme over the course of 12 weeks.
Startups participating in JLab will have access to capital from a microfund provided by the John Lewis Partnership and L Marks. Each team will be eligible to apply for funding of up to £100,000 ($125,000) from the total pot of £200,000 in exchange for equity in their company.
