Germany-based spice products supplier Just Spices has completed a €13m ($14.5m) series B round co-led by Bitburger Ventures, the corporate venturing vehicle for brewery operator Bitburger.
Agrifood-focused venture capital firm Five Seasons Ventures, which counts food and nutrition product maker Nestlé as a backer, co-led the round along with VC fund Coefficient Capital.
Founded in 2012, Just Spices supplies a range of pure spices and blends to food retail outlets and direct to consumers through an e-commerce platform. The funding will aid its expansion in Germany as well as other European markets and North America.
Just Spices is a portfolio company of Döhler Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of food and beverage ingredients supplier Döhler. Ita earlier backers include Monkfish Equity, an investment fund managed by the co-founders of hotel booking platform Trivago.
