Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners (DTCP), the investment management arm of Germany-headquartered telecommunications firm Deutsche Telekom, has appointed Irit Kahan as a managing director based in Israel.
Kahan joined DTCP as an investment principal in 2015, having come from venture investment platform Vintage Investment Partners. She replaces Guy Horowitz, who is transferring to DTCP’s Silicon Valley office, as head of DTCP Israel.
DTCP has offices in Europe, the US and Israel, and its Israeli portfolio companies include marketing software provider Dynamic Yield and cybersecurity technology provider Morphisec. It has exited Fireglass and Replay Technologies.
Vicente Vento, co-founder and CEO of DTCP, said: “We are delighted to announce that Irit has been appointed managing director of Israel.
“Her excellent network within Israel’s deep-tech eco-system and numerous co-investors will enhance our ability to identify and serve companies in the country and will prove enormously valuable in further expanding our relationships in Israel.
“Guy Horowitz will continue to play a significant role in strengthening the bridge between Israel and the US. With his proven track record, Guy has been the driving force behind our success in Israel over the last years and he will be an important link between the DTCP offices in Silicon Valley and Tel Aviv.”
