Malaysia-based home services marketplace Kaodim has secured $7m from Square Peg Capital and an affiliate of SIG Asia Investments, a subsidiary of technology and trading firm Susquehanna International Group, TechCrunch reported yesterday.
Founded in 2014, Kaodim has built an online marketplace that streamlines the process of booking a range of home services including cleaning, plumbing and pest control.
Users in areas of Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Phillipines can request a service through its site and providers can respond with a quote. The platform charges service providers each time they provide a quote.
Kaodim recently launched new features that include connecting users with highly-rated service providers for a fixed price. The funding will be used to develop its product, expand into new territories and invest in marketing.
The round brought Kaodim’s overall funding to approximately $11.5m, according to TechCrunch. It had previously raised $4m in a 2015 series A round featuring Venturra Capital, Beenext, 500 Startups and East Ventures.
