Kenandy, a US-based provider of cloud-based enterprise management software which is backed by salesforce.com, has raised $33m in series B financing led by venture capital investor Lightspeed Venture Partners with existing Series A investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, salesforce.com, and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati also participating.
Previously in August 2011, Salesforce.com and law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich Rosati participated in a $10.5m series A fundraising for Kenandy, led by venture firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
Chris Schaepe, partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, said: “The cloud is rapidly reshaping the enterprise software market. New integrated cloud applications are replacing multiple legacy modules to meet the enterprise market need for rapid, low cost, scalable deployments.”
Chris Schaepe joins the Kenandy board of directors, along with Larry Sonsini, chairman of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
Sandra Kurtzig founded Kenandy in 2010. Previously, Kurtzig founded Ask Group in the 1970s. She was reportedly persuaded to launch the venture by Salesforce’s chief executive Marc Benioff, a neighbour of hers in Hawaii, where she had retired.
