Kingsware, a robotic process automation (RPA) technology spinoff of China-based financial software producer Shenzhen Kingdom Sci-Tech, has secured about RMB100m ($14.3m) in series A funding, DealStreetAsia reported yesterday, citing a company statement.
Venture capital firm Qiming Venture Partners led the round, investing alongside Junsan Capital, Huajin Capital, Taiya Dingfu Investment Management, Zhuhai Technology Venture Capital, Zhuhai Angel Fund and Zhuhai Talent Fund.
Kingsware is developing RPA technology equipped with natural language processing, optical character recognition and automatic speech recognition tools that is intended to automate repetitive back-office tasks.
The series A round is the first to be raised by the company and it will allocate the funding to sales, product innovation and its RPA development team.
