KPMG goes for Moore with venture capital practice

Conor Moore has been appointed national co-leader of audit and advisory firm KPMG’s San Francisco-based Venture Capital practice and will set strategic priorities and oversee the unit’s growth agenda in his new role.

Although it is not a direct investor, the unit provides tailored audit, tax and advisory services for startup companies as they grow. He intends to broaden KPMG’s relationship with both venture capital investors and portfolio companies in his new role.

Moore previously worked as a partner-in-charge for technology and emerging companies for KPMG for almost 12 years from 2012, holding positions including partner-in-charge of KPMG’s Northern California Technology and Venture Capital practices. He was previously an audit manager for Arthur Andersen.

Brian Hughes, national co-leader of KPMG’s Venture Capital practice, said: “Conor is a recognised leader in the venture capital community, and we are confident that his deep industry knowledge and strong client relationships will continue to grow our practice.”
