China-based healthcare-focused management software developer Kyee has picked up RMB430m ($64m) in series D financing led by internet group Tencent, DealStreetAsia reported on Thursday.
DYEE Capital, Royal Sea Capital, Beijing Meihe Zhongbang Technology, Jiaxing Guangrun and Longmen Capital also joined the round.
Kyee has developed a range of healthcare-focused software such as hospital resource management. The company claims to have served more than 13,000 institutions across China.
Tencent will collaborate with Kyee to drive the medical sector towards using smart and cloud computing products. The company did not further specify what it intended to do with the funding.
SB China Capital, the local corporate venturing arm of telecommunications firm SoftBank, backed a $14m series C-plus round in 2016, when CDH Investments, DYEE, Sensegain Asset Management and Echo Capital also invested.
Kyee completed a $36m series C round backed by SB China Capital, Highlight Capital and lead investor Sensegain Investment. CDH previously led a $15m round in 2014 that also included SoftBank after the corporate had already supplied $8.9m in funding in 2012.
