KIT Digital, a Nasdaq-listed provider of online video delivery solutions for large enterprises, has agreed to acquire three venture capital-backed startups for an aggregate $77.2m.
The companies are: KickApps, a US-based maker of social media applications; Kewego, a France-based video distribution company; and Kyte, a US-based mobile video startup that raised more than $21m from venture capital firms Atomico Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson and strategic investors Holtzbrinck Ventures, NTT’s Docomo Capital, Nokia’s Growth Partners, Disney’s Steamboat Ventures, Swisscom Ventures, Telefonica and Teliasonera’s Intellect Capital Ventures.
Kyte’s series B round in March 2008 raised $21.1m.
