Frederic Lardieg (pictured), a former principal at UK-listed mobile phone operator Vodafone’s corporate venturing unit, has joined Octopus Investments’ venture capital unit in the same role.
After nearly two years at Vodafone Ventures, Lardieg had been investor and board observer at a number of companies, including LocalResponse and VoucherCloud.
He said: "I’m thrilled to have joined Octopus and I am look forward to working with the team to build on their impressive track record of successful early stage investments. The UK and London in particular is fostering a thriving start-up scene creating a myriad of opportunities for early stage investment. It is an exciting time to be joining the team."
It is also understood there will shortly be changes at Vodafone Ventures’ senior ranks in the Silicon Valley, US, office.
