France-based luxury holiday rental platform Le Collectionist has raised $10m in a series B round led by diversified holding group Artémis’ investment fund, Red River West, according to La Tribune.
Xange and Partech Ventures also took part in the series B round, having previously contributed to the company’s €2m ($2.4m) series A in 2015. Red River West was launched in June 2017 to support French startups that are aiming to expand into the US.
Le Collectionist was founded in 2013 and enables users to book luxury holiday accommodation in places like castles and small islands, and unusual experiences, such as a masterclass in producing caviar or a visit to ancient marble quarries with a professional sculptor as a guide.
The company will use the money to launch its international expansion efforts and aims to open approximately 100 offices across the world by 2020. It will also invest in the development of big data analytics technology to support more personalised offers in future.
