Canada-based social media intelligence platform developer LeadSift has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from investors including Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venturing unit belonging to enterprise software company Salesforce.com.
Salesforce Ventures was joined by Omers Ventures, the venture capital subsidiary of pension fund Omers. Omers Ventures previously provided $500,000 in seed funding for LeadSift in 2012, before the company raised a further $390,000 in December 2014.
Founded in 2012, LeadSift has created a platform through which marketers can access insights covering more than 100 social media consumer attributes such as habits, trends and lifestyle, helping them to develop and target content more efficiently.
LeadSift will invest the funding in sales, marketing and product development.
