US-based enterprise software provider ServiceNow’s corporate venture capital subsidiary, ServiceNow Ventures, has hired Claire Lecarpentier as a corporate strategy manager.
Lecarpentier came from US-based financial services firm JP Morgan, where she was hired as a strategic investor in 2016 following a three-month stint as a summer associate the previous year.
Her role at JP Morgan involved Lecarpentier investing in early-to-growth stage, cloud‑based software developers, and she will do the same for ServiceNow Ventures.
ServiceNow formed its corporate venturing unit in September 2016 and also runs a startup competition called CreatorCon Challenge.
The unit recently co-led a $60m series B round for software engineering platform Harness, and exited geolocation and mapping technology provider MapAnything in an acquisition by Salesforce last month.
Lecarpentier said: “ServiceNow’s differentiated technology, customer focus and business vision drew me to this role. I am thrilled to join an incredibly talented team to help build the future of work.”
