Paul Lee (pictured) has joined Lightbank, a US-based early-stage venture capital firm, after 11 months as head of digital ventures at media group Playboy Enterprises.
Before Playboy, Lee was senior vice-president of Peacock Equity Fund, a media-focused corporate venturing joint venture between General Electric and NBC Universal. As a founding partner of the Peacock fund, Lee helped lead investments in 4Info, Greystripe, Healthline, Ramp, and Rubicon Project, according to news provider TechCrunch.
As a partner at Lightbank, Lee will work with co-founders Eric Lefkovsky and Brad Keywell, the co-founders of consumer coupon company Groupon. Most of the $100m managed by Lightbank comes from the partners running the fund.
