LifeImage, a US-based network for sharing medical images and related health information, has raised $15m in its series C round from a consortium including its existing strategic investors.
Venture capital firms Cardinal Partners and Galen Partners, the company’s largest existing investors, led the round. On LifeImage’s board are representatives from VC peer Long River Ventures, the $35m Partners Innovation Fund founded by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital and data storage provider EMC.
In January 2011, LifeImage raised $11.8m in its B round, following a $2.5m A round in June 2009.
More than 29,000 people in 68 countries have used LifeImage to share over 410 million medical images.
