Like licks series B with Ant Financial help

Ant Financial, which operates the financial services products affiliated with e-commerce firm Alibaba, has led a series B round of undisclosed size for China-based car sharing service Like, Kr-Asia has reported.

Legend Capital, the venture capital firm launched by conglomerate Legend Holdings, also took part in the round, together with VC firms K2VC and BlueRun Ventures.

Like runs an on-demand car hire service modelled on the app-based bicycle sharing services pioneered by companies such as Ofo and Mobike. It currently has more than 1,000 pick-up points across the cities of Guangzhou, Foshan, Wuhan, Chengdu, Nanjing and Changsha.

The funding will be used to drive an expansion plan that will involve the company expanding the offering to between 20 and 25 cities by the end of this year. Like, which is also known as LikeChuxing, raised $20m in series A funding last month, according to Kr-Asia.
