Veteran corporate venture capitalist Dion Lisle has joined US-based Huntington National Bank.
As director of corporate ventures, Lisle said: “This is not a pure play CVC role, but rather a role designed to drive innovation working from the inside and the outside. Fintech engagement remains a key part of my life.
“I enjoyed the freedom and variety of consulting, but I ultimately wanted to be part of team and own cradle to grave innovation. Having met a good number of senior execs at Huntington I can say they are the nicest, most focused bank team I have met.”
Previously, Lisle had spent four years as managing partner at Forty Grand, an advisory and investment bank for financial services providers, after being an early member at both First Data and Citigroup’s corporate venturing units.
Separately, Blaze O’Bryne has been promoted to senior vice-president (SVP) at Citi Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of US-listed bank Citigroup.
The promotion follows his investments over the past near-two years as VP in Deepgram, Eightfold, Notarize, InvestCloud, Immuta.
