Spain-based customised apparel e-commerce platform Lookiero has attracted $19m in a round featuring Santander SmartBank, a subsidiary of banking group Santander that focuses on bank accounts for younger people.
The round was led by venture capital fund MMC Ventures and its Mayor of London-backed MMC Greater London Fund, with participation from All Iron Ventures, Bonsai Partners and 10x Venture Partners,
Lookiero runs a women’s clothing e-commerce platform with more than 1 million registered users where customers select from a basket of five products delivered, profiled and styled to their unique requirements, using recommendations based on machine learning algorithms and the input of professional stylists.
The funding will go toward international expansion and the growth of Lookiero offices in London and Paris, as well as a new branch in Italy, as it looks to shore up its position in key European markets. The company had previously secured $4.6m in a June 2018 round led by All Iron Ventures.
