Germany-based venture capital firm eCapital Entrepreneurial Partners has raised €50m ($70m) for a clean-tech fund from investors including local insurance company LVM Versicherungen.
Paul Grunow, co-founder of Solon and Q.Cells, led the fundraising commitments along with several other German family offices.
ECapital, led by managing partner Paul-Josef Patt, now manages 120m in five funds and has backed five companies, including Novaled, eZelleron, Heliatek and Feranova.
