Managing proprietary dealflow in the spotlight

Quality and proprietary dealflow is the goal of any investor, so Global Corporate Venturing is looking forward to its webinar next week on the topic.

We caught up with the sponsor of the webinar, software provider Wellspring, which will be discussing the topic with us on Tuesday next week at 1800 CET, after we provide a summary look at our 2015 GCV Analytics data.

Wellspring has ramped up its corporate venturing software efforts in response to booming demand. Bill Moylan, executive vice-president of sales at Wellspring, who will speaking in the webinar, said: “We have been working on corporate venturing for about five years. Our product went to market about three years ago, and we have now launched a new product in a second generation platform based on the things we have learned.”

It sees it advantage in simplifying the deal management process for corporate venturing clients. Moylan added: “We have everything in one place such as compliance and dealflow.” Wellspring looks to help groups more effectively share information among teams and is keen to talk about best practices generally in deal sourcing

Effectively managing the funnel of companies an investor tracks is a challenge common to all investors, and it will be with great interest that we talk with Wellspring about ways to do this well.
