Coppelia Marincovic has been promoted to partner at Solvay Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of the eponymous Belgium-based industrials company.
In March, Solvay said it would split into two, with its CVC unit ending up in the specialty chemicals business, according to Marincovic in an interview with Global Corporate Venturing with her boss, Matt Jones (both pictured).
Marincovic’s most recent board seat is at Nohbo, a US-based startup developing a water-soluble film to encapsulate personal care products so when met with water in a shower the shampoo or gel is released without leaving a trace.
Her other deals include DMC Biotechnologies, Sionic Energy, Sepion Technologies and MultiMechanics, which was acquired by Siemens in late 2019.
