Jason McBride has announced his new position as a partner at M12, the corporate venturing fund of US-based software conglomerate Microsoft.
Since March 2021, McBride has been an employee at Microsoft, starting as a director of business development, where he helped the company partner with startups to boost sales.
McBride was also an investor and board member at various companies including the US-based storage data platform Extenua, where he has been involved for nearly eight years since 2015.
Prior to this, McBride had worked for two years as a senior contracts manager for internet technology provider Google and served another year at social media platform Twitter under the same job position.
Formed in 2016, M12 focuses on technology companies from series A to D stages. The fund has backed about 120 companies having scored exits including financial platform Bakkt, which was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021.
