Michele McConomy has joined US-based accelerator campus RocketSpace as vice president of its corporate innovation programme, which as been renamed RocketX.
Prior to taking up the role, McConomy was vice president and US business services leader at management software company Mindjet, and she founded an innovation team during her tenure at professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers between 2005 and 2011.
McConomy said: ” Embracing the principles of open innovation and accelerating the path to successful partnerships is a game changing opportunity for corporate brands.
“Our corporate innovation programme, RocketX, accelerates opportunities for brands to identify, partner and co-create with startups on our campus and across the globe. Creating valuable connections to the startup world will help brands drive the future to market, faster.”
RocketSpace works with over 30 brands across a range of sectors, granting access to its corporate accelerator program, the graduates of which include Uber, Leap Motion and Podio. Its corporate partners include Microsoft, General Motors and British Airways.
