China-based internet company Mena Mobile has raised $10m in series B funding from cloud computing and artificial intelligence technology provider Group 42, PEdaily has reported.
Founded in 2016, Mena Mobile provides a range of services for online and mobile-focused companies in the Middle East and North Africa region, including global positioning, localisation and translation, and user acquisition, payment and marketing tools.
The company has not disclosed precise details of its earlier funding but its previous investors include Bertelsmann Asia Investments and Legend Star – subsidiaries of media group Bertelsmann and conglomerate Legend Holdings – as well as mobile game publisher iDreamsky, Plum Ventures, Capital Nuts and EWTP Capital.
