MerchantCircle, a US-based online network of local business owners backed by Walt Disney’s corporate venturing unit, has acquired local diary organizer TimeBridge for an undisclosed sum.
MerchantCircle raised $10m in its series B round in November 2007 from Steamboat Ventures, the corporate venturing division of Disney, and venture capital (VC) firms Rustic Canyon Partners and Scale Venture Partners, Nasdaq-financier IAC and Square 1 Bank. Its series A closed at $4.1m in 2005, according to news provider VentureWire.
TimeBridge had raised about $10m from VCs Mayfield and Norwest Venture Partners, according to news provider Fortune.
