Merieux Developpement, the strategic investment unit of healthcare technology company Institut Mérieux, has strengthened its investment team with three new appointments as it looks to expand its capabilities in the US and Europe.
Jean-François Billet has been named as senior partner and will be based in Paris. He most recently served as senior vice-president for strategy, mergers and acquisitions at food safety services provider Mérieux NutriScience since 2007.
Benoit Pierret will act as senior business analyst and located in Lyon. Pierret previously held the position of corporate finance manager at steel manufacturer and distributor Jaquet Metal Service from 2011 until last month.
Finally, Daniel Fero has joined the Boston-based team as a senior associate. He comes from consultancy firm LEK Consulting, where he had been engagement manager from 2011 until June 2016.
