Metamarkets, an event-based data company previously backed by US-based internet company AOL’s corporate venturing unit, reportedly raised $15m on Thursday.
MetaMarkets had raised the funds in a round led by venture firm Khosla Ventures, news provider VentureBeat said, in an article linked to by Metmarkets’ website. Khosla was joined in round by venture firms IA Ventures and True Ventures. Metamarkets has raised $23m in its history, VentureBeat said.
Other prior backers of Metamarkets included AOL Ventures as well as Village Ventures, Founder Collective, Dennis Crowley, the founder of US-based social network FourSquare, Floodgate and others, according to news provider TechCrunch.
