US-based mobility network developer Metropolis Technologies has received $17.5m in a seed round that featured real estate developer RXR Realty, PeHub reported today, citing a spokesperson for the company.
Venture capital firm Zigg Capital led the round, which also featured Slow Ventures.
The company, which remains in stealth, is developing integrated networks to power mobility applications.
Metropolis was co-founded by Peter Fisher, a former executive at aviation brokerage and fleet management company Global Airtech; Courtney Fukuna, former vice-president at Blackrock Alternative Advisers; Alexander Israel, the former co-founder of parking technology developer ParkMe; and Travis Kell, former vice-president of the Winton Group.
