M&A
Movinga, a Germany-based online relocation service backed by ecommerce holding group Rocket Internet, was acquired by on-demand delivery marketplace Shift for an undisclosed amount. Rocket Internet last took part in a $17m round for the company in 2018 that took its overall funding to over $100m.
Online trading exchange Global Healthcare Exchange agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to buy Prodigo Solutions, a US-based developer of management technology for healthcare supply chains, allowing investors including care provider University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to exit. UPMC took part in a $1.6m round in 2020, lifting Prodigo’s total funding to about $30m.
Funding
Telus Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of telecommunications firm Telus, co-led a $260m round for Miovision, a Canada-based provider of AI-equipped transportation management software. The round was co-led by Maverix Private Equity and Export Development Canada.
