Mirantis, the US-based cloud software producer backed by semiconductor technology provider Intel and communications technology company Ericsson, has secured $75m, according to a regulatory filing on Tuesday.
Mirantis provides support and services for business management software platform OpenStack, enabling enterprises to deploy it at scale. It has now raised approximately $195m in overall funding but has not disclosed the backers in its latest round.
The company raised $100m in an October 2014 series B round led by Insight Venture Partners that included Intel Capital, which acts as Intel’s investment arm, Ericsson, August Capital, WestSummit Capital and Sapphire Ventures, the venture capital firm spun out of enterprise software producer SAP.
Mirantis secured $10m in funding from Intel Capital, WestSummit and Dell Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of computer manufacturer Dell, in January 2013, before receiving an additional $9.9m from Ericsson, Sapphire, WestSummit and open source software provider Red Hat five months later.
