France-based online flight booking service MisterFly has raised €20m ($22m) in funding from e-commerce company Vente-Privee and private equity firm Montefiore Investment, according to BFM Business.
Founded in 2015, MisterFly enables consumers to purchase plane tickets that come with a range of advantages, including the chance to pay in four instalments and modify or cancel tickets. MisterFly also sells a dongle for unlimited mobile internet in 115 countries for €4.90 a day.
The company claims to have sold almost 100,000 tickets to date, and aims to generate at least $110m in revenue this year.
MisterFly will use the money to further develop its technology, expand across Europe and fuel strategic acquisitions. It merged with hotel booking service H-résa last month.
Vente-Privee’s commitment comes as part of an ongoing partnership that integrates MisterFly’s offering with its own platform. The firm previously supplied an undisclosed amout of funding for MisterFly in September 2015.
