Financial data platform Xenodata Lab has won first prize at MUFG Fintech Accelerator, the accelerator initiative run by Japan-based financial services firm Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, The Bridge has reported.
Xenodata will receive ¥2m ($19,000) from MUFG as a business assistance bonus. Stock trading and analysis technology startup Alpaca DB won second prize and will take $9,700 in business assistance support.
The other startups demoing technology were Smart Idea, which is working on a game and a chatbot app that teaches financial skills; Knowledge Communication, which is applying artificial intelligence to banking decisions; and cryptocurrency wallet system developer Zerobillbank.
