US-based esports performance technology developer Mobalytics secured approximately $11.3m yesterday in a series A round featuring computing equipment producer HP and esports franchise operators Axiomatic and T1 Esports
The round was co-led by Almaz Capital and Cabra VC and included General Catalyst, GGV Capital and RRE Ventures, while HP invested through its HP Tech Ventures unit.
Founded in 2016, Mobalytics has created a machine learning-equipped system that helps competitive gamers improve their performance by evaluating data from their sessions in real time.
The product is geared toward genres and titles that lend themselves to esports, including online battle arena games such as League of Legends. The funding will go toward enhancing Mobalytics’ technology and adding more staff over the next six months.
The company had previously attracted $2.6m in seed capital from Almaz Capital, Founders Fund, General Catalyst and GGV Capital in 2016.
