MOD Systems, a US-based provider of kiosks to download films and music, has raised more than $6m from its existing strategic and venture investors.
The company said existing investors led the round after its commercial launch of its Download2Go kiosks through InMotion Entertainment, the US’s largest airport retailer for electronics and entertainment.
MOD raised $35m in its series A round in September 2008 from electronics companies Toshiba and NCR and Deluxe Entertainment Services.
The A round was completed just before MOD’s then chief executive was investigated for alleged misappropriation of company funds and arrested at the end of March.
