Modernizing Medicine, a US-based electronic medical records technology provider, closed a $38m series E round yesterday backed by brand management firm Pentland.
Summit Partners and Sands Capital Ventures also contributed funds.
Launched in 2010, Modernizing Medicine has developed a specialty-specific electronic medical records service dubbed Electronic Medical Assistant. The company also offers billing, revenue and inventory management tools.
The company has now raised approximately $87m. Pentland previously backed a $20m series C round closed in March 2015, alongside computer manufacturer IBM, and led a $12m series B in 2012.
