Japan-based management consulting firm Skylight Consulting teamed up with product development agency Monstar Lab yesterday to launch a startup accelerator focused on digital transformation.
The companies will leverage one another’s industry insights and know-how, and further collaborate with each other’s portfolios in a bid to seek out opportunities outside Japan.
More specifically, Monstar Lab will provide access to its Monstar Hub co-working space in Bangkok, Thailand to Skylight to hold accelerator activities focused on IT and digitisation technology startups.
Skylight has experience in providing management and business development support for its portfolio companies from seed stage onwards, while Monster Lab has conducted research and selection of merger and acquisition candidates and post-M&A integrations.
Monstar Lab and Skylight have already helped a joint portfolio company, Thailand-based recruitment technology developer TalentEx, having provided an undisclosed amount of funding for it in in August 2018.
