Nate Morgan has joined HubSpot Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of US-based customer relationship management platform HubSpot, as an associate.
HubSpot Ventures was formed in 2018 with an initial $30m vehicle before it launched the $100m CRM Platform Fund in October last year. The unit targets early and growth-stage companies working on enterprise software for small and medium-sized businesses.
Prior to joining HubSpot Ventures, Morgan held similar roles at venture capital firm Springdale Ventures as well as investment banks Evercore and Deutsche Bank for six years altogether. He has recently received an MBA from University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Brandon Greer, senior manager of corporate development at HubSpot and head of HubSpot Ventures, said: “HubSpot Ventures has been on a roll, having closed 25 strategic investments in our incredible partners over the past 18 months, and we’re just getting started with the addition of Nate Morgan to our investment team.”
Digital payment service Balance, remote testing platform Maze and Sales Impact Academy, which provides sales education software, are among HubSpot Ventures’ investments this year.
