Israel-headquartered cybersecurity software provider Morphisec secured $31m from investors including telecommunications firms Orange and Deutsche Telekom yesterday, the latter through its Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners vehicle.
Venture capital firm JVP led the round, having joined Deutsche Telekom, Orange subsidiary Orange Digital Ventures and power and industrial technology provider General Electric in the company’s $12m series B round in 2018.
Morphisec provides cloud cybersecurity software to protect endpoints and servers, and its technology is based on research from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. The funding will support a recruitment drive covering Israel and the United States.
JVP led the company’s $7m series A round in 2015, investing with Deutsche Telekom, General Electric unit GE Ventures, OurCrowd and Portage Advisors. Its earlier backers include La Maison, Kodem Growth Partners and Evolution Equity Partners.
