Online household goods retailer Mydeco.com, which was set up by LastMinute.com co-founder Brent Hoberman, has secured an undisclosed amount of series C funding from venture capital firm eVenture Capital Partners, which is backed by German retailer Otto Group, according to UK-based newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
Mydeco.com, which is the trading name for the UK-based By Design, raised £7.3m ($11.6m) in its 2008 series B round, gaining funding from Burda Cross Media, the investment division of Germany-based media conglomerate Hubert Burda, private equity firm SRPE and venture capital (VC) firms Sofinnova Partners and Amadeus Capital Partners.
Mydeco’s series A round raised more than $8m, in 2007, from VC firm Spark Ventures. Mydeco carries products from more than 500 retailers and additionally allows users to design their ideal room using 3-D imaging tools.
