Namogoo, a US-based e-commerce software developer backed by advertising agency Adler-Chomsky, secured $8m on Tuesday in a series A round led by venture capital firm GreatPoint Ventures.
Blumberg Capital and Inimiti Capital also took part in the round, both having contributed to a $5m round for Namogoo in 2015 alongside Adler-Chomsky, 83North and Founders Guild.
Founded in Israel in 2014, Namogoo has developed cloud-based software that uses big data and machine learning to combat the attempts of disreputable online retailers to place advertising on other e-commerce platforms in order to capture customers.
The round, which took the company’s overall funding to $14m, will support marketing, product development and the opening of its US headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts.
