US-based propriety trading corporation Jump Trading has promoted former vice-presidents, Saaya Nath and Tarun Gupta, to partners for its corporate venturing arm, Jump Capital.
“Since joining the team, Saaya and Tarun consistently demonstrated the qualities we highly value at Jump; a relentless curiosity, a contemplative approach to decision-making, and a genuine commitment to the founders we partner with,” said Michael McMahon and Sach Chitnis, the co-founders of Jump Capital.
Nath joined Jump Capital in 2020, having previously served over two years at US-based management consulting group Boston Consulting Group in associate and consultant positions.
Nath’s areas of investment have ranged from enterprise education and web3 development including social media ecommerce portal Koji and dispute resolution platform New Era ADR.
Gupta also joined Jump Capital in 2020. Before that, he worked for three years at Light & Wonder, the gambling company previously known as Scientific Games, first as a senior analyst and then as manager of corporate development.
Gupta focuses on emerging compliance and wealth technology startups and recently helped Jump Capital back enterprise lending platform Highline.
Formed in 2012, Jump Capital invests primarily in technology and financial data startups. The firm has more than 50 active portfolio companies including contact centre guidance platform Balto and Sporttrade, which is a sports betting and trading exchange.
Jump Trading is a privately held company that focuses on high-frequency trading strategies. Founded in 1999, the corporation is active in futures and cryptocurrency markets worldwide.
“We congratulate Saaya and Tarun,” said McMahon and Chitnis. “We can’t wait to see all the great things they’ll accomplish in 2023 and beyond.”
