NewVoiceMedia, the UK-based creator of a cloud customer communication service, has received $30m in a series F round led by Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venturing division of cloud computing company Salesforce.com.
The round also included BGF Ventures, the venture capital arm of UK government-mandated, bank-backed growth equity fund British Growth Fund, as well as Bessemer Venture Partners, Eden Ventures, Highland Capital Partners Europe and Technology Crossover Ventures.
NewVoiceMedia’s technology enables companies to prioritise and route inbound and outbound customer communications such as phone calls and emails. The platform integrates a business’s customer relationship management database on Salesforce.
The money will go towards accelerating international expansion, focusing particularly on North America. NewVoiceMedia will also recruit additional staff to its US-based sales, marketing and professional services delivery teams, on top of further improving its product.
The company has now secured more than $140m in funding to date. Salesforce took part in a $50m series E round in 2014 that was led by Technology Crossover Ventures and backed by Bessemer, Highland, Eden and Notion Capital. MMC Ventures is also among the company’s shareholders.
Jonathan Gale, chief executive of NewVoiceMedia, said: “This investment is further recognition of our incredible recent growth and financial performance. We are delighted to join BGF Ventures’ portfolio.
“The additional capital from Salesforce Ventures reinforces our position within the Salesforce ecosystem and gives us access to the most experienced and innovative cloud executives, ecosystem and customers to ensure we maintain our impressive growth rate.”
