Alex Nigg (pictured), a former corporate venture at Telecom Italia Ventures and Europatweb, has reportedly joined venture capital firm Morgenthaler Ventures as an executive-in-residence.
News provider Fortune said Nigg would have a focus on financial services companies as his Europatweb deals included merging portfolio company Flutter into gambling website Betfair.
He is also the founder of Siderian Ventures and its advisory affiliate, Siderian Ventures Advisory.
His web biography said the other nvestments he sponsored include Zooba, a viral email based social content business (sold to Bertelsmann); Quios, an SMS-based social networking application (sold to Vivendi); and founding Walkwire, a provider of automated business centres, sold last year after 10 years.
